CBB for Life Resiliency Grant

CBB for Life's mission is to support the long-term sustainability and success of the San Diego State University Community-Based Block (CBB) program. Inherent in that mission is the support of CBB students and alumni, and the social justice and mental health initiatives they carry out.

CBB for Life established the Resiliency Grant to assist students with unexpected or emergency short-term expenses. The maximum award is $599 per academic year, funds permitting.

Examples of unexpected or emergency situations include:

  • Job loss

  • Help with unexpected car repairs

  • Emergency medical expenses not covered by insurance

  • Computer repair

CBB for Life Resiliency Fund Grant requirements:

  1. Be a current CBB student (must be making academic progress).

  2. Demonstrated financial need.

  3. A completed grant request form must be submitted. Final approval is given by the CBB for Life committee.

Please Note:
The purpose of the Resiliency Grant is to assist students with unexpected or emergency short-term expenses. If your circumstance is ongoing, it is important to us that you are connected with resources available through the university and/or social supports. For this reason, we will provide you with additional resources upon receipt of your completed application.

Submissions are not being accepted at this time. The Grant will reopen April 1, 2024.
